Golden Healer

Golden Healer Quartz. The iron fortifies and strengthens the healing properties of the quartz. Clear quartz is a master healer. 

"Let him have the heart," I heard in my head.
"Really?" I questioned. Maybe I'll pretend I didn't hear that part.
"Yes, really. Give him the heart."
"But I like the heart."
"I know, but give him the heart from me."
"Can it be a different heart or does it have to be this one?"
"This one."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"But I really like this one."
 "I know. Let him have the heart."

I felt the golden healer quartz buzzing in my hand at this point and I knew what I had to do. I wasn't particularly happy about giving away one of my favorite crystals, but it helped when I heard, "You were the keeper of this crystal for a short time." I knew this was a lesson for me, as well.

I will often grab a crystal on my way out the door to my weekly spirit circle. Sometimes I feel like I receive more clearly when I am holding a particular crystal, so I allow the crystals speak to me as to which one(s) to grab. My attention was brought to the golden healer I had left in my purse from traveling over Christmas. I only use a purse when I travel. Mostly to hold a crystal or two...or 5.

I grabbed the golden healer heart and a smaller chrysocolla heart. As we started the meditation, I slid my hand into my coat pocket and pulled out the golden healer. As the communication with my friend's departed brother was ending, he told me to put the crystal away for the rest of the spirit circle. Kinda bossy, this one. He had infused his energy into the crystal and that's how he wished the crystal to be delivered.

This morning my friend came to my 9am cardio strength training class. Only a week prior, he learned after the same class that his favorite brother had passed suddenly from a heart attack at the age of 74. There was no heart disease in the family with 4 boys. Their father lived to 99. My first thought...I wonder how long it will take for him to come to me? Him, not as in my friend, but his dead brother. 

The answer was 6 days.

I felt his Spirit first softly grab me by the shoulders with a light nudging. Then I felt him hold my face in his hands and waddle my head side to side. "Hey, I'm here. I'm here," he was saying trying to get my attention. Like trying to wake someone up who might be nodding off. Then I felt anxious. I felt my heart beat in my lips. When someone else in the circle said they felt pain down their left arm, I immediately said, "I know who this is. It's my friend's brother."

The day of his death, he had felt anxious and then a pain down his right arm. They called 911. He died a short time later.

I approached my friend privately after class the day after circle , "Do you have a little time right now? I have something for you." "Sure," he said.

I find it more challenging to approach my Catholic friends who know me from church. I took a deep breath, "I haven't told you this, but I can connect with people who have departed." He asked what I meant. "I mean, I can connect with spirits of people who have passed away." I explained in a little more detail. "Oh," he said. I continued, "I connected with your brother last night." It didn't take much for his eyes to well up with tears.

I was holding the golden healer crystal in my hand. I delivered a few messages before explaining the crystal and handing him the heart with the instructions given to me. "Hold it in your hands like this," I said with a cupping motion. "He told me it is to help heal your broken heart and also to strengthen your heart."

Certainly a moment I will never forget.

"I was supposed to be here today," he said, acknowledging that he had offered to travel the 50 miles to be with his brother's family as the cremation was happening in that very moment, but the wife and two children of his departed brother requested to be by themselves for the cremation. "Yes, you were," I said with a smile. I could see in his eyes that it was difficult for him to not to be there for the cremation, but he gripped that heart and held it to his, and thanked me.
