The Crater

I was taken to the crater for the first time with my trail running group about 14 years ago. The "crater" is North America's youngest active volcano. The hillsides are covered red Colorado dirt and deep cinder. The steep downslopes are a blast to run down- digging heels into the cinder to prevent a roll and tumble down the hill. Most locals don't even know this crater exists.

An older friend recently asked if I would take him on this hike again so he can share it with others. My mind flashed to my friend in the meditation and I recalled him asking me to go back to the crater. The Council of Light showed me the land is like a space craft landed, formed the crater, rather than the lava flow.

Council of Light: "Natural disasters are portals. Hawaii, lava flow - major energy portal. Hurricanes, tornadoes, tsunamis, earthquakes. Violent disruption of the land = portal opening."

Me: "Do we have warning?"

Council of Light: "Knowing. You have experienced several small earthquakes. Not everyone 'feels' them. You are more sensitive to them because it is a calling to you to wake up, to recognize the portal."

Having lived in Hawaii and California, I have experienced some ground/home/business shaking. There is an underlying awareness in those states for possible earthquakes. However, I was awakened one night in the middle of Colorado to the sound of a train. There are train tracks in my town, but the train was re-routed many years ago. I grew up 2 blocks away from train tracks, so that sound is very familiar to me. It was 12:33am. My bedroom window was cracked open. It was an eerie sound the moment I realized there are no trains running through our town. In the morning, I grabbed my phone and friends on Facebook who live in my hometown in SE Colorado were talking about the earthquake at 12:30am in South Central Colorado. What I heard must have been an after-shock, the sound of the Earth rumbling.

I asked so many locals if they heard the noise. No one. Now it makes more sense why I heard the earthquake that night.

The Council of Light went back to my friend. They explained that he is very sensitive as well and is called to my energy. His wife can block his energy. "He is so pure. He is tall like us (they laughed). Gentle pure being. Good heart." They further explained that he needs me to help balance his wife's energy so he can BE more often.

I laughed. She can be a stubborn one, but I have been shown that she is a teacher for me.
