Restriction to Freedom

Council of Light: "Restriction is what causes most of our challenges, but also our shifts. It's uncomfortable for a reason, and that reason is like a little push from behind to help propel you forward. When you welcome in the feelings of discomfort, you are able to break free from the restrictions, and thus, you are free again. It's all an illusion. You are always free."

My mind drifted to the "Caught in the Ruins" card from the Akashic Tarot deck that I use regularly. Caught in the Ruins is a card that has been revealed to me several times. It shows a couple behind bars with no ceiling, nothing really keeping the couple restricted. The keys rest just outside of the lock and completely in reach. There is structure to the right (masculine) and nature to the left (feminine). I asked, "Why do we forget that we are free?"

Council of Light: "Ego, judgement, insecurity, survival. It is not a planet of cooperation. For a long time, it has been 'survival of the fittest'. The weaker are destroyed so there isn't as much compassion for the weak, but mainly self-preservation and that's where the ego comes in, takes over.

Me: "We imprison ourselves in a made up cell, with walls on 3 sides."

Council of Light: "You stay in fear of the 4th wall closing in, and so you close yourself off. Protecting...there is this perception that you are protecting yourself; when in reality, you are imprisoned even more than you originally perceived yourself to be."

Me: "How do we stay free?"

Council of Light: "You get still. You focus. You ask how you might serve rather than silently asking how you might compete today."

Me: "Is it in our DNA to compete for survival?"

Council of Light: "No, it is a program that has been running for a very long time. Your essence is love and in love is cooperation, giving, helping, sharing, assisting, forgiving. To hold the chamber of the heart in a lock is the absolute opposite of freedom. Restriction of thoughts and deeds- it is all a prison, an illusion, and you are free. You break free through love. You are not in competition with your competitor at all and as long as you hold any entity, business, enterprise as such, you hold yourself in lack. In lack, there is fear. In fear, there is restraint. Now, come together and share ideas and share resources and there you will find love, open hearts, cooperation and joy. Do not wish them to go away for your benefit, for the benefit of all. You measure this by asking from your heart. 'Does this feel open and loving or restrictive and tight?' This is your answer. It should feel anti-gravity. [they smiled] Like your head."

There was a fun-side to the end this channeling session. "Like your head" held a double meaning. Anti-gravity like the lightness required for them to move my head in all of the various directions/patterns when they are connecting with me, and "light" like I am an air head.
