Cecropia

Cecropia moth. Giant silk moth rarely seen because of its short life span of only a few days. They rely exclusively on stored energy from the caterpillar stage.

A local 3 year old boy went missing. He lived very close to my aunt, along the river. Most people know of the dangers of spring run-off and how fast the water rises and flows this time of year. As soon as I saw the test alert for the missing boy, I thought of the river as most of the local residents probably instantly thought, as well. This little boy wandered away at 9pm from the condo complex playground. Search crews have tirelessly combed the area. 500 community volunteers. My aunt asked if I could ask The Council of Light where the little boy might be found.

As I settled into my mediation, I could hear the helicopters still circling at 9pm on night two of the search. Then I saw him. The 3 year old boy- his moppy dark hair and big brown eyes. He was smiling and running through a field, "Don't feel sad for me. I'm chasing butterflies." It was an etheric field of yellow wildflowers and a warm golden light. It was a fleeting moment that he came by to tell me/show me he is happy.

My attention was drawn to the helicopters I heard over my shoulder, moving to the west of his home. "Where might they find you?" I asked. "Are you far away?" My head turned side to side, no. "Are you close to home?" My head drew back and then nodded forward. "You're close to home?" My head drew back again. "In the river?" Small nod. Attention back to the helicopters. "Will they find you in the water close to home or have you drifted far away?" The only impression given was attention back to the helicopters. "The air rescue effort will find you?" I was clearly told to move on- no more answers there for me. Trust what I received.

"What happened? May I know?" I was given the impression that there were other kids at the playground but maybe not any one of them particularly responsible for watching the little boy. "It only takes a moment and they were distracted." I saw a glimpse of young teens sitting, staring at phones.

The Council of Light: "The world is distracted. One moment changes everything. One moment. People immediately want to look where they can place the blame. Really, they want answers; they want to understand and they want to feel safe. It [the current events, George Floyd, protests, riots] all comes down to the basic human need to feel safe and accepted, and by feeling accepted, you feel safe. This community came together when all others are falling apart, and for that, you should feel proud. People want to believe in good and it felt/feels good to search and hope, but it will be a big blow."

Me: "Did the baby suffer?"

The Council of Light: "He suffered more here, than in that moment."

The following night around 8pm, local officials announced that the cell phone he was carrying at the time he went missing and an article of clothing positively id'd as the boy's was found in the river below his family's condo that sits above the riverbank. Although the community was asked to back off from the search due to the dangers of the waters, the search efforts continue by the trained professionals.

A friend was asking me about mediumship earlier today. I told her about the missing boy in our community and how I connected with him. She asked if I passed the information along (as in, to authorities).  I told her that the boy let me know the information was for me- in larger part for me to trust what I get- not to aid/interfere in the search. Which means to me that other lessons for other people will come out of the long search. Perhaps an action to fence that condo area so it can't happen again. He's happy, he's free. He had autism and was mostly non-verbal. His soul chose this exit, as all souls do.
