Spirit: You Are Ready

When I learned to connect in mediumship, I learned by gathering evidence, first. That part comes to me fairly easily. I get nudged, pulled back, tapped, dull pain here, acute pain there, sensation on one body part and another. I feel spinning and rocking and pressure. Sometimes I smell things. Sometimes I see myself holding an object. I see quick glimpses and silhouettes when I close my eyes. Then words repeat in my head.

I learned:  "Get it. Give it. Get out." 

I was getting good at the "get out" after giving the evidence at our weekly spirit circle, and backed away to allow others to work on delivering the message while waiting for the next spirit to come through. Something has shifted in recent weeks. I am getting the message. When another person in our spirit circle tries to say, "Oh, I think that means this," I clearly hear, "No, that's not it," as I continue receiving the message. "It's This."

I'm noticing that as I receive the message, my gaze lifts to a certain point in the room and I begin having a telepathic conversation. I begin nodding and letting out little sounds like "Ahhhh' and 'Mmmm Hmmm' to myself in acknowledgement of understanding the message.  I can pause the conversation and rewind or repeat, as needed. I can ask questions and ask for clarification. I giggle at times. I gasp as I am able to piece something together.

As a twin, I've always said I have that twin telepathy with my sister where we can be in the same room and know what one another is thinking. My daughter says she has that with her brother, as they are only 16 months apart and very close. That makes it much easier for me to explain to her (without totally freaking her out) that I can communicate with dead people.

Last night, as I led a wellness retreat, spirit came through to me for one of the participants. She was widowed 3 months ago and I was to ask if she was okay with proceeding. She was okay and eager as I shared his messages for her. He also delivered some messages for me. He told me this is more than a job, this is my spiritual purpose. He said that I needed to get outside of the confines of the weekly spirit circle to spread my wings, that I am ready. He said he's been working with me in recent weeks, helping me to receive the messages beyond the evidence.

Here I thought I came up with this fancy-schmancy retreat all on my own. I'd offer 3 yoga practices and spa treatments, meditation, self-care practices, cooking classes and a beautiful gift package for each participant. This was the first of 3 wellness retreats I am offering this winter. As I was receiving the message, I was being guided to the evidence unraveling behind me.

Think of a mystery that has been solved and how flashbacks reveal all of the clues along the way that led to the solving of the mystery. That's how it was shown to me. Shown in reverse, spirit had orchestrated the retreat through me. Huh. I had no idea. My jaw may have dropped to the floor several times.

"Awestruck" and "deeply moved" best describe what was shown to us that night. I am forever transformed. I am ready.
