9:9:18

Ammonite is the fossilized shell of an ancient sea creature. The shape symbolizes continual change and evolution. Ammonite helps attract health, prosperity and success. It has the number vibration of 9. The spiral pattern follows the Fibanocci Sequence. It also symbolizes unity of two halves coming together to form a whole and can be used to assist in seeing the whole picture.

Significance of 9

Nine choirs of angels. Cats have nine lives. Dressed to the nines. On cloud nine. Nine contains the forces of all other numbers. Nine also represents completion, at the end of the decimal system. It is the highest single digit number. This year, 9/9/18 (9th month+9th day=18, 1+8=9 and 18 year = 9), or 99 Gateway, falls on a New Moon. A new moon is the perfect time to set new intentions for the next 4 weeks.

9 in Creation and Nature

Nine is found in feminine. Nine months gestation period in the womb. The Fibanocci Spiral, which follows the number 9, is found all over nature- from pineapples and pine cones to hurricane and spiral galaxies. The Fibanocci number sequence is found by adding the two numbers before the number. For example: 0+1 = 1, 1+1=2, 1+2=3, 2+3=5, 3+5=8, 5+8=13, 8+13=21, 13+21=34, etc. The Fibonacci spiral is a series of quarter circles connected using Fibonacci numbers for the dimensions.

A pattern develops when you bisect a circle and the resulting angle always reduces to 9. A 360° circle, divided in half is 180° (1+8+0=9). Cut in half is 90° (9+0=9). Cut in half is 45° (4+5=9). Cut in half is 22.5° (2+2+5=9). Nine plus any digit returns the same digit. 9+2=11 (1+1=2), 9+7=18 (1+8=8), 9+5=14 (1+4=5).

Divine Light Vehicle
Every vector of the flower of life sacred geometry (above) is the sum of its 3 nearest neighbors, equaling 9 (1+8, 2+7, 3+6, 4+5). Every axis adds to 9. In a tetrahedron (pyramid) there are 2, and each adds to 9 (1+4+7+6=18, 2+5+8+3=18...1+8=9). Two tetrahedra form a merkaba. Mer = Light, Ka = Spirit, Ba = Body. The 36 vertices of the merkaba add up to 36, 3+6=9. The Hallowed Sage logo has a merkaba within a merkaba, as shown below in color to highlight the overlapping 2D triangles. In 3D form, these 2 triangular pyramids form a merkaba. As the merkaba spins, the light emanates from the central plane, growing in all directions. The merkaba draws source energy down to the physical and upward connects us to universal energy. The pyramid pointing up, draws us up to source. The pyramid pointing down, connects us to earth.
Shakti/Shiva
The Sri Yantra is a mystical diagram consisting of 9 interlocking triangles that surround a central point called a bindu. The triangles represent the cosmos and human body, unity of the masculine and feminine. The upward pointing triangles represent the masculine embodiment Shiva. The downward pointing triangles represent the feminine embodiment Shakti:

Nine in Time
Minutes & seconds in a day, week, month and year will always reduce to the number 9. Let's start with1,440 minutes of a day (1+4+4+0=9). 86,400 seconds of a day adds up to 9 (8+6+4+0+0=18, 1+8=9). 10,080 minutes of a week adds up to 9 (1+0+0+8+0=9). 525,600 minutes in a year adds up to 9 (5+2+5+6+0+0=18, 1+8=9).

Wholeness & Emptiness
The sum of numbers 1:8=36, 3+6=9. As mentioned earlier, the number 9 plus any number yields the same number. 1+9=10, 1+0=1. 2+9=11, 1+1=2. 3+9=12, 1+2=3. In this example. 9 equals everything and nothing.

Nine-Gated City
In the Bhagavad Gita [5.13], Krishna states, "Calmly renouncing all actions, the embodied Self dwells at ease as lord of the nine-gated city, not acting, not causing action." The 9 gates to the body: 2 eyes, 2 ears, 2 nostrils, 1 mouth, 1anus, 1 sex organ. "He who controls his senses and his mind, intent upon liberation; when desire, fear and anger have left him, the man is forever free." [5.28]. We learn to harness the energy that enters and exits the 9 doorways through practices of yoga, meditation and more specific practices such as Kriya yoga and chi gung. Krishna to Arjuna, "Closing the nine gates of the body, keeping the attention in the heart, drawing the breath to the forehead, with the mind absorbed, one-pointed, uttering the sacred Om which itself is freedom, focused on me as you leave the body, you attain the ultimate goal." [8.12-13]. The mind is withdrawn from the physical senses, uplifted to the heart center, attention being focused at third eye center (meditation, mantra Om). The prana becomes concentrated there and in the cerebrum, illuminating the divine gateway to the infinite.

Emptiness of physical senses and wholeness of Om. The number 9.
