8:8 Lion's Gate

On August 8, when the Earth's Sun and the star Sirius (the "Spiritual Sun") align, there is a surge of power and light, opening a star gate- or portal- between the physical and spiritual realms. The peak on 8-8 is identified as "Lion's Gate", as it occurs in the constellation Leo (represented as a lion). A star gate allows for rapid travel of divine wisdom and downloads between dimensions.

Lion's Gate energy is connected to the heart chakra. This is an opportunity to bring in a surge of unconditional love. You may experience heightened intuition, sudden insights and clarity at the start of Lion's Gate, July 26th, through its peak, August 8th. You may also experience higher levels of frustration, annoyance, fear and irritability. Remember, everything in the universe is made up of energy. As you prepare to receive this surge, it is important to to clear your energy field, which might include cutting energy cords, drinking more water, eating nutrient dense foods, getting plenty of sleep, shifting any negative thought patterns or even untangling yourself from unhealthy relationships.

I am particularly drawn to Lion's Gate because my spiritual gate keeper is a lion. I've had vivid dreams about lions since I was a young girl. It makes sense that my gate keeper would show up to me as a lion. A lion represents strong will, intuition. For my meditation tonight, I will hold my new chrysocolla heart. This chrysocolla heart has some clear quartz and malachite. It is a perfect crystal for meditating on the heart and throat chakras - opening up to truth and unconditional love. The heart chakra is represented by the color green. The throat chakra is represented by the color blue. Chrysocolla is a beautiful greenish blue color.

With the strong presence of the number 8 on 8/8/2018, in numerology, the number 8 represents balance, power, strength, and abundance. Turned on it's side, it is the sign for infinity. When the number 8 is shown, you can prepare to reap what you have sown. Interestingly enough, when I did an oracle card reading for myself earlier today using my Mystical Shaman oracle deck, the 3rd card (which represents what might show up in the future) was the corn card. The meaning of the corn card is the harvest...reaping what you have sown.

How can you mediate on Lion's Gate?

Sit upright with your eyes closed and your feet firmly anchored to the earth. Imagine your feet growing roots and grounding you to the center of the earth- the very core of who you are to the very core of the earth. You are grounded. You are safe. You are protected by the lion standing guard at the gate. Visualize blue and green light pouring down through your crown chakra, illuminating your divine light. Perhaps the green light is illuminating from earth and the blue light is illunimating from Sirius and when the lights align and converge, a burst of harmony rushes through your fingers and toes, up your legs and arms, surrounding your heart and throat, all the way up to the crown chakra. Imagine balancing the energies of the heart, the mind and your inner being, swirling around like a galaxy unifying unconditional love, truth and knowing. Take three deep breaths, clearing any unwanted energy, releasing anything you are ready to send out to the universe to transmute into that unconditional love, truth and knowing that you deserve to experience for yourself and share with others.
